Imphal, Sept. 17 -- The body of a 19-year-old man who had been missing since September 14 was found in the Imphal River at Uchiwa Nasto area under Mayang Imphal police station.

Police recovered the body on Wednesday, September 16.

The deceased was identified as Md Ariyan, son of Md Talha, of Lilong Ayang Leikai.

According to official sources, police recovered the body at around 12:30 am. Ariyan had reportedly been missing since September 14 after he failed to return home.

Police later took the body to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
