Imphal: Manipur's Churachandpur district administration, along with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local civil organisations, recovered the body of a Class VIII student of Radhakrishnan Foundation School, Tuibong.

Her body was found on Sunday near the Khengjang power substation area in the Tuitha (Khuga) river, trapped in mud, after a massive three-day search operation.

The student was swept away by flash flood currents triggered by incessant rainfall while returning home from school and had been missing since the incident, prompting large-scale search operations along the Khuga River.
