Manipur: Blindfolded man's body recovered in Kangpokpi as NH-2 blockade protests intensify
Imphal, July 2 -- A partially decomposed body of an unidentified man was recovered from a forested area at Parengba Khunthak in Kangpokpi district, adding to the growing tensions prevailing in the region. The recovery was made within the jurisdiction of New Keithelmanbi Police Station.
In a statement, police said the deceased is believed to be between 25 and 35 years old. He was found dressed in blue jeans, a multi-coloured T-shirt and wearing a ring on one finger. Investigators noted that the victim had been blindfolded, with both hands tied behind his back, suggesting possible foul play.
The body has been shifted to the mortuary of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, for identification and further legal formalit...
