Manipur: Active RPF/PLA cadre arrested for allegedly planting grenades
Imphal, Aug. 5 -- Manipur Police have arrested an active cadre of the outlawed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) and its armed wing, the People's Liberation Army (PLA), who was allegedly involved in planting grenades in the Imphal area.
According to a police report issued on Wednesday, two explosive devices were recovered from his possession.
Acting on specific intelligence, a Manipur Police team raided the Thangmeiband Khuyathong Polem Leikai area in Imphal West on Tuesday night and arrested Thokchom Sanju Meitei alias Luwang (26), a resident of Langmeidong Mamang Leikai in Kakching district.
Two hand grenades were seized from his possession.
