Imphal: A Tangkhul Naga woman abducted by armed militants from Namlee village in Manipur's Kamjong district was safely rescued by Assam Rifles on May 9, 2026.
She was abducted on May 7, 2026, by the Kuki National Army-Burma (KNA-B) and Village Volunteers Eastern Zone (VVEZ) following a violent cross-border attack.
The woman was taken from Namlee village on May 7, 2026, and rescued following coordinated operations by Assam Rifles and intelligence agencies, according to reports. The release took place south of Z Choro village in the same district.
