Imphal: The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), the apex body of the Kuki tribes, has formally urged the Government of India to abrogate the ceasefire agreements signed with the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) and its proxies.

KIM representatives submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioner of Kangpokpi on June 19, 2026.

The move comes amid rapidly deteriorating relations between the Kuki-Zo and Naga communities.

According to the memorandum, recent conflicts have resulted in the destruction of 11 Kuki villages and the loss of 14 civilian lives.
