Guwahati: A high-level delegation from the European Union (EU) will visit Assam on June 8 and 9 to strengthen economic ties with Northeast India, with a focus on boosting investment, innovation and industrial collaboration across key sectors.

The "Team Europe" delegation, led by EU Ambassador to India and Bhutan Herve Delphin and comprising ambassadors and senior representatives from EU member states, is scheduled to meet Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other state officials during the visit.

Discussions are expected to centre on expanding cooperation in areas such as semiconductors, renewable energy, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, electronics manufacturing, tea, food processing, sust...
