Guwahati, Aug. 5 -- Assam's tea industry has achieved another global recognition as Woolah Rare Assam Green Tea received a 1-Star Great Taste Award 2026, among the most respected honours in the international food and beverage sector.

The award, presented by the UK-based Guild of Fine Food, evaluates products through a strict blind-tasting process conducted by a panel of more than 500 chefs, food experts, writers, buyers and retailers. The judging process keeps brand identity and packaging hidden, with products assessed only on their taste and quality.

The Great Taste Awards are widely regarded as one of the world's leading food and drink accreditation programmes.
