US announces $500,000 aid for flood-hit Nepal
New Delhi, Aug. 27 -- The US government announced on Wednesday financial assistance of $500,000 to Nepal.
Expressing its condolences over the devastating floods in Nepal, the State Department promised to provide emergency assistance to the country.
The agency said Washington is deploying a disaster response advisor to the region while pledging $500,000 to support rescue efforts.
In a message on X, Secretary of State Marco Rubio also expressed his support and solidarity with Nepal.
