New Delhi, Aug. 24 -- Some good news for women in Uttar Pradesh travelling during Raksha Bandhan.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced free bus travel for women in the state on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

From 6 am on August 27 until midnight on August 29, women and one companion can travel free of charge on Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation buses. Authorities have been directed to ensure safe travel and step up patrolling.
