U.S. House votes to end Iran war
New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- For a third time, the U.S. House has voted to end the war in Iran, approving a war powers resolution that would halt President Donald Trump's ability to continue military action without congressional approval.
The bill, now called the "Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026" to honor the South Carolina Republican, passed the Senate last month.
The House passed it by 262 to 159, as 58 Democrats broke with party leaders to join all and also seven Republicans in favor. Although, the resolutions has not made it to the President's desk, where Donald Trump would almost certainly veto the measure.
