New Delhi, April 6 -- U.S. President Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to Iran, setting a final deadline for Tehran to reopen the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
Trump threatened to strike civilian infrastructure, including bridges and power plants, if the Strait is not reopened by Tuesday. Later, he clarified the deadline: "Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!"
He also announced a Monday news conference from the Oval Office with U.S. military officials. This latest threat follows repeated warnings from Trump to target Iran's critical and energy infrastructure if Tehran does not accept a truce or reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
