New Delhi, March 21 -- In Washington, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on Friday said her country is ready to support United States efforts to promote peace and prosperity globally.
Following talks with US President Donald Trump, the two leaders agreed to maintain close coordination to ensure safe transit of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy route.
President Trump highlighted a recent trade agreement between the two countries, describing it as one of the largest ever, and said it would expand cooperation in sectors such as energy, semiconductors, shipbuilding and pharmaceuticals.
