New Delhi, April 12 -- USA President Donald Trump has announced that the United States Navy will begin a blockade of all ships entering or leaving the Strait of Hormuz, following unresolved concerns over nuclear issues with Iran.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that while recent discussions went well and most points were agreed upon, the key issue of nuclear concerns remained unresolved.

He described Iran's actions as "world extortion," alleging that Tehran has created uncertainty by claiming the possible presence of naval mines in the strait. Trump said the US Navy would also begin identifying and interdicting vessels in international waters that have paid tolls to Iran, asserting that such payments are illegal.
