New Delhi, Oct. 8 -- Scientists Henri Kagan and Kenso Soai won the 2026 Nobel Prize in Chemistry on Wednesday for the discovery of non-linear effects and autocatalysis in asymmetric organic synthesis.

The chemistry Nobel, always the third prize to be awarded during Nobel week, followed those for medicine and physics announced on Monday and Tuesday.

The scientists were awarded for their research into molecules' mirror images, decisive for the development of pharmaceuticals.
