New Delhi, March 12 -- A Russian delegation led by President Vladimir Putin's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev met with U.S. counterparts in Florida on Wednesday amid the escalating global energy crisis triggered by the Israel-U.S. war against Iran.
The talks, part of the U.S.-Russia economic working group, focused on energy market turmoil, promising bilateral projects, and restoring relations, according to Dmitriev. Nearly 20 million barrels per day of oil, about a fifth of global output, remain trapped in the Gulf due to the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz since February 28.
