New Delhi, July 17 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today flagged off India's first indigenous hydrogen-powered passenger train, named the NaMo Green Rail, from the Jind railway station in Haryana.

Hydrogen fuel cell technology has emerged globally as a promising alternative to fossil fuel-based traction systems.
