New Delhi, June 24 -- President Droupadi Murmu conferred the Padma Awards 2026 at the second Civil Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, in New Delhi. The prestigious honours, among India's highest civilian awards, celebrated excellence across diverse fields, recognizing individuals whose contributions have left a lasting impact on society and the nation.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, India's Home Minister Amit Shah and other dignitaries.

Veteran actor Mammootty was conferred the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian honour, for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema, particularly the Malayalam film industry.
