New Delhi, May 5 -- Highlighting a recent surge in tourist arrivals, Minister Hmar stressed the need for capacity building to accommodate visitors while preserving Mizo culture. He outlined strategies to develop major attractions in and around Aizawl, aiming to encourage tourists to extend their stays in the state rather than just passing through.
Secretary Kumar praised the seasonal tourism strategy and assured full backing from the Centre. Acknowledging the state's high potential, Kumar suggested that the central government's "One State: One Global Destination" project would be best implemented near the capital city of Aizawl, leveraging its existing food and accommodation infrastructure.
