New Delhi, March 16 -- LPG refill bookings have declined to about 7.7 million from 8.8 million, indicating some easing of panic-buying after the Government said there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or cooking gas, and that supplies remain stable despite the West Asia conflict.

The Government stated that domestic refineries are operating at high capacity, with adequate crude-oil stocks, ensuring sufficient fuel supply.

India remains self-sufficient in petrol and diesel production.

LPG bookings declined to 7.7 million on Saturday from 8.8 million on Friday, while online bookings rose from 84% to about 87%.

Citizens have been advised not to panic-buy, as fuel stocks are adequate nationwide.
