Health Minister reviews influenza situation
New Delhi, Aug. 22 -- India's Health Minister J.P. Nadda has reviewed the country's preparedness for seasonal influenza, including H1N1, with a special focus on the National Capital.
Delhi Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh also attended the meeting. Minister Nadda reviewed influenza surveillance, ILI and SARI trends, testing and laboratory monitoring, as well as the preparedness of healthcare facilities.
Health Minister stressed continued vigilance, robust surveillance and adequate hospital preparedness, including the availability of beds, critical care facilities and essential supplies.
