New Delhi, March 20 -- In preparation for the General Election to the Puducherry Legislative Assembly 2026, the first randomisation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) units has been successfully completed in the Puducherry and Karaikal districts. The exercise was carried out through the EVM Management System by the respective District Election Officers in the presence of representatives of recognised National and State political parties. Following the randomisation process, EVMs and VVPATs have been allocated Assembly Constituency-wise.
