New Delhi, May 2 -- The Election Commission has introduced a QR-based Photo ID card system on ECINET to regulate entry to counting halls on May 4 and prevent unauthorised access.

3-tier security: RO ID cards checked manually at first two tiers; third tier QR scan at innermost cordon. Applies to ECI-auth entrants. Media centre near counting halls for media.
