DRDO conducts Pinaka long-range rocket test
New Delhi, July 9 -- India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted a flight test of the Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket (LRGR) at the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur.
The rocket was tested for a user-defined minimum range of 60 kilometres and successfully demonstrated all planned in-flight manoeuvres before accurately hitting the designated target along the predicted trajectory.
All deployed range instruments tracked the flight throughout its trajectory, confirming the successful performance of the system.
The rocket was launched from the in-service Pinaka launcher, demonstrating its versatility and the capability to fire Pinaka variants of different ranges from the same launcher platform.
