24th Batch of 1,605 Shri Amarnath Yatris Leaves Jammu for Baltal; Pilgrim Footfall Set to Cross 4.5 Lakh Today
New Delhi, July 31 -- The 24th batch of Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims left the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu early Friday morning under tight security arrangements.
The convoy, comprising 1,605 pilgrims in 55 vehicles, departed for the Baltal base camp to continue the annual pilgrimage to the holy Amarnath Cave Shrine. Security personnel escorted the convoy as the Yatra continued smoothly under elaborate security and logistical arrangements.
The annual pilgrimage, which commenced on July 3, has witnessed a steady inflow of devotees despite weather-related disruptions that affected movement earlier this month.
