New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- Pristyn Care is pulling back from two peripheral businesses as it refocuses on its hospital network, restructuring consumer brand Beatxp and significantly scaling back medical-supplies initiative MedX, according to three people aware of the developments.

The health-tech startup, backed by Peak XV Partners and Tiger Global, is demerging BeatXP into a separate entity and repositioning it as a sports footwear and athleisure brand. The move marks a retreat from its earlier push into massagers, weighing scales and smartwatches, which struggled to scale, the people said.

MedX, meanwhile, has been scaled back as Pristyn shifts resources towards its own hospitals rather than supplying partner facilities.
