New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday declined to direct reopening of the CBSE portal for re-evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets amid complaints over its On-Screen Marking (OSM) system.
A bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, along with Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana, said the portal had been opened for all candidates for a specified period and reopening it could lead to fresh claims.
The petitioner sought a one-week extension, alleging the website had crashed and prevented several students from applying for verification. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for CBSE, said 1.68 lakh students had successfully applied during the notified window.
