
BALURGHAT, Aug. 17 -- Union Minister of State and Balurghat MP Sukanta Majumdar has announced that a Kaushal Mahotsav Rozgar Mela will be held at Balurghat Stadium in South Dinajpur on August 18. Organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the job fair aims to connect educated unemployed youth from South Dinajpur and neighbouring areas with employment opportunities.
In a video message, Majumdar urged eligible job seekers to participate in the fair. "Job providers and entrepreneurs from across the country will attend this mela. I request the educated unemployed youth of our district and adjoining areas to participate in this job fair," he said. Majumdar thanked Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, for selecting South Dinajpur to host the event.
According to Majumdar, more than 100 companies and entrepreneurs are expected to
participate in the fair.
Employers will assess candidates' skills and capabilities and offer suitable job opportunities to eligible applicants. He said the initiative was being organised under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was aimed at strengthening skill development and employment opportunities for young people.
The NSDC JobX portal has listed vacancies across various sectors for the mega employment drive. Interested candidates can register and apply for available positions through the designated portal of the National Skill
