New Delhi, Oct. 26 -- Jio BlackRock International AMC (IFSC), a wholly owned subsidiary of JioBlackRock Asset Management on Monday announced the launch of JioBlackRock Advantage World Equity Fund, which will offer investors access to a globally diversified equity portfolio.
The newly launched JioBlackRock Advantage World Equity Fund (IFSC) is an open-ended fund-of-funds retail scheme and is designed to provide investors access to global equity markets through a feeder-fund structure that invests primarily in the BlackRock Advantage World Equity Fund, a globally diversified active equity strategy, Jio BlackRock said in a statement.
The minimum initial investment in the fund would be $5,000, with $1,000 being the minimum additional investment. About 90-100 per cent of the investments would be in units of the underlying BlackRock Advantage World Equity Fund.
The launch would broaden access to investment opportunities for Indian investors by providing a gateway to international markets through GIFT City, it added.
The underlying fund has a track record of over 8 years and seeks to complement investors' domestic portfolios with exposure to global companies, sectors and long-term growth themes across developed markets, including the US, Europe and Japan.
"This fund enables investors to complement their India exposure with access to global growth opportunities, creating a more diversified pathway to long-term wealth creation," the statement said.
JioBlackRock Asset Management, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Sid Swaminathan said the launch of the funds in GIFT City represents a significant step in democratising access to global investing opportunities.
