
New Delhi/Ranchi, July 8 -- In a major push to position Jharkhand as a technology-driven growth hub, Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday held a series of meetings with global technology firms and industry leaders during the National Stakeholders Consultation on Vision 2050, seeking partnerships to accelerate AI-led governance, digital infrastructure and innovation.
The consultation brought together representatives from Google, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, AWS, Salesforce, Techstar, Leah AI, Mamsys and other industry stakeholders to explore the use of emerging technologies in governance and public service delivery.
Addressing the gathering, Soren assured stakeholders of the state government's proactive ap-proach towards technological innovation and reiterated Jharkhand's commitment to blending its traditional wisdom with modern technology.
In discussions with Google's Lokesh Lohiya, the focus was on AI-enabled governance, smart healthcare, emergency response systems, language solutions and digital skilling. Google proposed an AI training and certification programme for 3-4 lakh K-12 teachers through a three-month module and suggested signing a Statement of Intent with the state government.
Oracle's Senior Director for Data Platform, Tausif Siddique, expressed interest in strengthening Jharkhand's AI, cloud and digital skilling ecosystem through industry-oriented training and workforce development initiatives.
Microsoft CTO India Keshri Asthana proposed a unified AI-driven Data Intelligence Platform to integrate data across government departments and improve evidence-based decision-making and service delivery.
IBM's Senior Advisor Talleen Kumar offered collaboration on AI-powered governance solutions in mining, healthcare, banking and cybersecurity, including a no-cost proof of concept tailored to Jharkhand's needs.
AWS Principal AI Specialist Sachin Punyani discussed leveraging cloud and AI capabilities for digital governance, Direct Benefit Transfer systems, education and centralised decision-making dashboards.
Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar and senior state officials also participated in the discussions and addressed queries raised by stakeholders.
