Chandigarh, Sept. 15 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday reviewed the functioning of Chief Minister's Good Governance Associates (CMGGAs) and directed them to strengthen governance at the grassroots, ensure transparency and monitor delivery of government schemes.
At a meeting at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi, Saini asked CMGGAs to closely monitor implementation of schemes in their respective districts and regularly submit evaluation reports to the Chief Minister's Office.
He directed them to prepare detailed reports on the status of Chief Minister's announcements, identifying pending projects and reasons for delays. Reports should also cover the ground-level implementation of the Nirogi Haryana scheme and the functioning of Samadhan Shivirs at district and sub-divisional levels.
Saini asked the associates to conduct surprise inspections of the camps and submit factual reports. They were also directed to assess the status of sports stadiums and Vyayamshalas across the state and participate in monthly district-level meetings on development works.
The CM reviewed the e-Registry portal and directed that a departmental meeting be convened to address shortcomings highlighted by the CMGGAs. He also sought reports on infrastructure deficiencies in industrial areas and asked the associates to focus on parameters covered under the NITI Aayog's Aspirational Districts Programme.
