India, Aug. 4 -- Former Haryana Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has stated that the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) is playing with the future of Haryanvi youth. "It appears that the BJP government in power has issued clear instructions to deliberately rig the recruitment process. Tactics such as paper leaks, copying of questions, and erroneous questions and answers are used to stall recruitment for years, even when a recruitment process is finally completed after a long wait, the results are manipulated so that the majority of posts remain vacant. The recent PGT Computer Science result is a clear example of this," he said. "Now that the process was finally nearing completion, the HPSC deliberately qualified only 1,101 out of 5,100 candidates. This means there is a strong likelihood that over 600 posts will remain vacant. Not only in the general category, but a large number of posts in reserved categories are also set to remain unfilled," he said. The former Chief Minister stated that this was not the first time the BJP government has announced such results. "Time and again, across various recruitment drives, the pattern remains the same: posts are either left vacant, or preference is given to candidates from other states over the people of Haryana," he noted. In a gross injustice to the DSC category, only one candidate was selected against 60 reserved seats, the remaining seats were left vacant citing the 35 per cent qualifying condition. The Leader of the Opposition noted that in the recruitment for Assistant Professor (Psychology), only three out of 400 candidates qualified for the 85 available posts. Regarding the recruitment of Assistant Engineers (AE/SDO) in Haryana Power Utilities (HPU), 214 candidates were called for document verification, yet only 29 were from Haryana. Earlier, in the Civil Irrigation Department, 28 out of 49 selected candidates were from outside Haryana.
