
Chandigarh, Oct. 4 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday participated in a programme organised by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) during his visit to Singapore to promote investment and strengthen India-Singapore economic ties.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Indian Ambassador to Singapore Shilpak Ambule were also present at the meeting attended by Singaporean industrialists and business representatives.
Saini highlighted Haryana's investor-friendly policies, industrial potential, infrastructure and facilities, and invited Singapore's business community to explore investment opportunities in the state. Sai outlined Chhattisgarh's investment potential, while Ambule stressed the need to deepen economic and diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Representatives and experts from manufacturing, technology, logistics, energy, education and healthcare participated in discussions on trade and investment cooperation.
During his Singapore visit, Saini also studied facilities at Suntec City's convention centre as part of preparations for a proposed world-class convention centre in Gurugram. He said Haryana would develop the facility over around 25 acres, equipped with modern technology and engineering for international conferences, business meetings, exhibitions and global events. He also studied construction techniques, modern engineering and operational systems at the Singapore facility to understand global standards for the Gurugram project.
Saini said the project would enhance Gurugram's international profile and boost investment and business activity.
He also outlined plans for state-of-the-art infrastructure and a large park in Manesar to improve civic amenities and the green environment overall.
At Gardens by the Bay, Saini studied environmental conservation, plant preservation and advanced water management systems. He also examined measures for water supply and conservation. Indian tourists met Saini and took photographs and selfies with him, while he interacted with foreign visitors.
