Chandigarh, Oct. 8 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday launched the 'HUNAR Punjab' and 'Fast-Track Punjab' portals, aimed at connecting industries with skilled youth, improving transparency and speeding up investment approvals.

Mann said the Fast-Track Punjab portal would enable investors to obtain necessary approvals through a single-window system within 45 days and transparently track financial incentives through its 'Passbook' module.

The HUNAR Punjab portal will bridge the gap between industries and skilled youth by providing hiring, placement, internship and industrial training opportunities. Around 1,750 institutions have already registered on the platform, with local skilled youth to be given preference for industrial employment, Mann said.

He said the portal would also facilitate industry-institute collaborations covering guest lectures, faculty development, on-job training, placements, curriculum inputs, infrastructure and technology support and CSR initiatives.

Mann said Punjab had attracted investment worth Rs 1.89 lakh crore since 2022, generating 6.31 lakh jobs. He attributed the inflow to investor confidence in the state's policies and business environment.

The chief minister said the government had implemented e-Office and online systems across departments to reduce delays and improve accountability.

"HUNAR Punjab is the skilling and placement pillar of Punjab's unified interface for industry, alongside FastTrack Punjab," Mann said.
