India, May 27 -- Expanding its regional footprint in Himachal Pradesh, Canara Bank on Tuesday opened its branch in Dehra. This is the bank's 22nd rural branch of in Kangra district.

The branch was inaugurated by Canara Bank General Manager Chander Singh Tomar in the presence of Central University of Himachal Pradesh's Vice Chancellor Sat Prakash Bansal and Regional Head of the Canara Bank Regional Office in Shimla Ravi Kant Burman. Local dignitaries, business leaders and residents attended the ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, Tomar highlighted the bank's vision for inclusive growth and reaffirmed its commitment to providing secure, technology-driven banking services while strengthening customer relationships.

Burman said the Dehra branch is fully equipped to cater to the growing financial needs of local residents.

The branch will offer digital banking services, retail and MSME banking, agricultural finance and consumer products. The bank currently operates 64 branches in the state.
