New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- Bank of India (New Zealand) Ltd launched its new mobile banking application, "BOINZ - Freedom", at a special gathering in Auckland on the occasion of India's 80th Independence Day, attended by around 500 guests.

The app was inaugurated by the Consul General of India, Auckland, while Bank of India MD & CEO Rajneesh Karnatak addressed the gathering through a video message.

The launch marks a step towards strengthening the Bank of India's digital presence in New Zealand, where it has operated since 2011 through its wholly owned subsidiary, BOI(NZ)L, with branches in Auckland and Papatoetoe.

Key features include domestic and international remittances to India, biometric authentication, secure m-PIN login, TDS certificate downloads, account statements

for savings, current and loan accounts, and scheduled payments.
