Gurugram, Oct. 1 -- Akhilesh Pathak has assumed the charge as Director (Projects) of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID) with effect from September 30, 2026.
An Electrical & Electronics Engineering graduate, Pathak joined POWERGRID as an Executive Trainee in its first batch in 1993 and has over 32 years of power-sector experience.
Pathak played a key role in POWERGRID's highest-ever CAPEX utilisation, asset capitalisation and transmission-line additions.
He also led the Arun-3 SAPDC Transmission Project in Nepal and contributed to expanding consultancy services in domestic and international markets. Before this appointment, he served as Executive Director (Project Management), POWERGRID.
