KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 7 -- A 36-year-old woman has been arrested after a retired policeman and his wife were killed when their scooter collided with a car that had pulled out of the emergency lane following a driver swap.

Police are seeking to establish whether the woman, who owns the Perodua Bezza, was behind the wheel or travelling as a passenger at the time of the crash on the North-South Expressway near Kuala Muda yesterday.

According to Sinar Harian, Kuala Muda district police chief ACP Hanyan Ramlan said the woman was detained to help establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The crash occurred at about noon at KM114.4 of the expressway, killing retired police sergeant Suhaimi Saidin, 64, and his wife Normah Hashim, 60....
