KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 28 -- A video showing several insects believed to be cockroaches crawling inside a food container at a barbecue restaurant in the capital went viral on social media yesterday.

The footage, shared by a Threads user through the @aqilahmaria_ account, showed several of the insects inside a container holding raw meat near a container of prawns, Berita Harian reported.

The user claimed the incident had left her traumatised and reminded the public to check their food before eating it.

"Incident yesterday (the day before). I'm traumatised! I was hungry and then saw something like this. Before eating, check your food first," she wrote.
