Kuala Lampur, Oct. 29 -- KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 - Umno has confirmed its political cooperation with PAS and Perikatan Nasional (PN) for the 16th Melaka state election, which will include a joint election manifesto between Barisan Nasional (BN) and PN.

Umno secretary-general Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the decision was made at the party's supreme council meeting yesterday.

He said Umno had directed all its election machinery and supporters to give their full backing to PN candidates contesting in the state election.
