SINGAPORE, Aug. 7 -- Singapore authorities have found no evidence so far that any offence was committed in the country or by Singapore-based adoption agents linked to an Indonesian baby trafficking ring, but investigations and reviews are ongoing.

The case involves at least 12 Indonesian babies allegedly sent to Singapore for adoption by the syndicate, with each child reportedly sold for between 200 million rupiah (about RM51,000) and 250 million rupiah (about RM64,000), The Straits Times reported yesterday.

Indonesia's West Java authorities had previously said three Singapore adoption agents were involved in the racket.
