NILAI, Aug. 30 -- A woman lost RM2,900 when her three-year-old daughter's gold necklace was snatched while they were strolling at a food festival in N9 Arena here last night.

According to Berita Harian (BH), Nilai district police chief Superintendent Johari Yahya said the incident occurred at about 9.30pm when the girl told her mother her necklace was gone.

He said the 29-year-old woman lodged a police report at about 10.30pm, explaining that she had gone to the festival with her two children earlier that evening. While walking through the crowd, her three-year-old suddenly complained that her necklace had been pulled off.

Johari said the mother immediately checked and realised the gold chain was missing.
