Teen driver remanded again as Simpang Renggam crash probe proceeds under murder law
KUALA LUMPUR, June 8 -- A 19-year-old university student has been remanded for a further two days as police continue investigating a crash at KM27 of Jalan Renggam-Simpang Renggam in Kluang last week that claimed the lives of four members of a family.
According to Berita Harian, the latest remand order was granted by Magistrate Mustaqim Sukarno when the teenager, who studies at a university in Singapore, was brought before the Muar Magistrate's Court today.
Kluang police chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh said the fourth remand extension was sought to allow investigators to complete their probe into the fatal collision.
