KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 -- Taiwan-based Ally Logistic Property (ALP) announced a RM500 million investment to develop what it says will be Malaysia's first developer-built multi-storey automated cold chain facility in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Known as OMEGA 2 Shah Alam, the nine-acre project in southern Shah Alam is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2028 and will serve industries including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, retail and e-commerce.

The facility will feature about 577,000 sq ft of built-up space and over 30,000 pallet positions within its Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS), according to ALP.
