SEOUL, Oct. 4 -- Stray Kids will not be submitting their music for next year's Grammy Awards, joining BTS in boycotting the event after the Recording Academy confirmed it would proceed with its new Asian Pop category.

JYP Entertainment, the group's agency, told Billboard and the BBC on Friday that Stray Kids had opted out of the 69th Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 2027, Korea JoongAng Daily reported.

The announcement came after the Academy said it would present the Best Asian Pop Music Performance award as planned.
