KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 -- A total of 1,336 candidates in the 2025 Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination achieved a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average (CGPA), up by 70 candidates from 1,266 the previous year.

The improvement also contributed to an increase in the national CGPA from 2.85 in STPM 2024 to 2.88 this year, marking the highest achievement since the STPM modular system was introduced in 2013, Kosmo! Online reported today.

Malaysian Examinations Council (MPM) chairman Professor Datuk Md Amin Md Taff said this year's national CGPA was also 12.06 per cent higher than the 2.57 recorded in STPM 2013.
