Kuala Lampur, Aug. 17 -- SINGAPORE, Aug 17 - Police are investigating an incident in which a 73-year-old man was allegedly shoved to the ground after he patted a girl on the head at a coffee shop in East Coast, according to The Straits Times.

Police said that they had identified yesterday a 40-year-old man in connection with the alleged assault, which occurred at 50 East Coast Road at about 4.40pm on Aug 15.

They had earlier confirmed that a police report was lodged and investigations were ongoing.

In a Facebook post at 7.14pm on Aug 15, a user named Bei-ing Wanton Noodle said the elderly man was his father and appealed for information on the man who allegedly shoved him to the ground.
