SINGAPORE, Aug. 29 -- The families of Singaporeans missing after the devastating Nepal-Tibet floods are desperate for news of their loved ones, with one relative saying they have been left confused and without clear updates on rescue efforts.

CNA, a Singapore-based news outlet, reported today that nine Singaporeans are among hundreds of people missing after a wall of ice, mud and rock collapsed into a mountain river on Wednesday, triggering catastrophic flooding along the Nepal-Tibet border.

Among them are Singaporean couple Shubakshi Rawla, 49, and Sumit Rawla, 53, who were last seen at a tea stall near the Rasuwagadhi border area while on a Kailash Yatra pilgrimage.
