Singapore braces for heavy traffic at Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints during Hari Raya Haji period
Kuala Lampur, May 22 -- SINGAPORE, May 22 - Travellers heading into Malaysia through Singapore's Woodlands and Tuas land checkpoints have been warned to expect heavy traffic and longer waiting times during upcoming public holidays and the June school holiday period, according to The Straits Times Singapore.
The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said in a statement on May 22 that congestion is expected during peak periods and advised travellers to plan their journeys early.
It also urged motorists to consider travelling during off-peak hours, such as early mornings and late evenings, to avoid long delays.
