SCDF national serviceman, 20, dies on duty at Marina Bay Fire Station in Singapore, police rule out foul play
SINGAPORE, Sept. 6 -- A 20-year-old Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) full-time national serviceman has died after being found unconscious while on duty at Marina Bay Fire Station, less than a month after completing his firefighter training.
Lance Corporal Muhammad Nur Ilham Mohammed Iswadi was found in the station's training yard at about 8.10am today, Singapore-based media organisation CNA reported, citing an SCDF statement.
SCDF personnel immediately performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation before he was taken to Singapore General Hospital.
"He was subsequently conveyed to Singapore General Hospital, where he passed away," SCDF said.
